Sushant Singh Rajput's Manager Disha Salian’s Death Was Accidental Concludes CBI; Say, ‘She Lost Balance Whilst Being Drunk’- Reports
Disha Salian’s death has been concluded as an accident by CBI officials
Mumbai-based talent manager Disha Salian’s death became one of the biggest stories in 2020 after her ex-client and Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide. Many reports suggested their deaths were linked, baseless speculations and rumours started doing the rounds on the internet, and media channels conducted various debates and discussions on the matter, which left the families of the deceased even more stressed. Even BJP leader Nitesh Rane had alleged that their deaths were linked.
Now, more than two years later, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has concluded that her death was accidental. A report released by The Economic Times states that Disha fell from her apartment due to a loss of balance while she was intoxicated. People present at the scene confirmed the same. For the unversed, Disha reportedly fell from her apartment balcony on the 14th floor of the Galaxy Regent building at Malad, Mumbai, on June 9, 2020. A senior official told the publication that Disha had been organising get-togethers at her residence. Talking about the investigation that was conducted, they said, "The investigation has revealed that Salian had been organising get-togethers at her residence in the run-up to her birthday. The party on June 8th night was part of it. However, that night, Salian, who had consumed alcohol, lost her balance and slipped from the parapet of her flat."
ET reported that a thorough investigation was carried out, which included recording the statements of the eyewitnesses who attended the party, forensic reports, and observations by reconstructing the entire scenario to analyse the nature of injuries if some were pushed from the higher floors. When asked about the connection between Shushant's suicide and Disha's death, the official revealed that the two cases are completely different, but were unfortunately linked by people. They shared, "Other than a few chats, which were in connection to a brand-building exercise, nothing more was found between Salian and Rajput. While Rajput had searched on Google news reports on him and Salian in the week preceding his suicide, there is nothing to show that her death triggered his suicide. They are two different incidents that are unfortunately linked."
The late actor’s suicide left his fans reeling. According to reports, the CBI is treating SSR's death as a suicide and is investigating the possibility of abetment before submitting its closure report.
